Acceptable Use. I
will follow school rules when using the Internet. I will use the Internet at school only for school activities.
Personal
Responsibility. (1) I will report to the teacher if I see
anything inappropriate on the Internet.
(2) Services and products are sold through the Internet. I will not use the Internet at school to purchase
services or products. I will not order
services or products for the school.
Network Etiquette.
When using the Internet, I will be polite, use school-appropriate
language, not reveal any home addresses or phone numbers, and post only to
known groups.
Services.
Almost anyone can publish almost anything on the Internet. There is no system-wide mechanism to prevent
inaccurate information from being published.
Therefore, in using the Internet, I must take care to check my
resources.

I understand that
the school has an Internet managed firewall service that blocks student access
to inappropriate material, but that it may not be possible for the school to
block all controversial material on the Internet. Inappropriate material would include, for example, messages
suggesting pornography, unethical or illegal solicitation, advocacy for civil
rights violations, or language unsuited for school. If the student should open inappropriate material, s/he is to
report it to his/her teacher. If the
student should arrange any purchase through the Internet, the school is not
responsible for paying.
As the student’s
parent, I have read and understand this agreement. I give my permission for my child to use the Internet in school:
